Tejas Express Ahmedabad to Mumbai begins services from January 19! India’s second ‘private train’, IRCTC Tejas Express between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, is being flagged off tomorrow, that is January 17. Train number 82902/82901 Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express by IRCTC will begin commercial services from January 19. Tickets for the new Tejas Express can be booked online on the IRCTC website and through IRCTC authorised agents and web portals. IRCTC Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express is an AC Chair car service with eight chair car coaches and two Executive Chair Car coaches. The total seating capacity of the train is 736 passengers with 56 seats each in Executive Chair Car and 78 seats each in Chair Car coaches.

The non-Executive chair car coaches have seats in the 3+2 configuration. While the seats are cushioned for comfort, there is no headrest or airline like footrest. Passengers in the non-Executive chair car can enjoy onboard infotainment on their smartphones.

The train has comfortable cushioned seats with reclining facility, head rest and footrest in the Executive chair car coaches. The seats are in the 2+2 configuration.

IRCTC will serve local cuisines in aircraft-style food trolleys to passengers of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express. Additionally, passengers will get the benefit of free travel insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh. There is also a provision for partial refund in case the train is delayed by over an hour.
