Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami participates in Chennai road show, signs MoUs worth Rs 10,150 crore

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a road show in Chennai for the hill state’s Global Investor Summit, and signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) for investments in Uttarakhand worth Rs 10,150 crore.

The roadshow was organised by the state in Chennai on Thursday ahead of its Global Investors Meet (GIM) which is scheduled to take place on December 8-9, a release by the Uttarakhand government said. The MoUs were signed with various industrial groups related to healthcare, pharma, energy sectors in the presence of CM Dhami.

He also said that more than 30 policies have been amended in the last few months to make the state investor-friendly, and called investors to invest in the state saying there is immense potential for investment in many sectors like food processing, auto component manufacturing, education and health in Uttarakhand.

He said that the theme of the Global Investor Summit has been kept as “Peace to Prosperity”.

The MoUs signed in Chennai include Rs 1000 crore with July Ventures for startup and equvator, Rs 1000 crore with Kshana Group for investment in health care sector, Rs 600 crore with SRM University for investment in higher education, Heliport and MoUs worth Rs 500 crore were signed with Refex Group in the energy sector, Rs 250 crore with Enfla Movi Group for Aroma Park, Rs 100 crore with Miltex Group for investment in the tourism sector.

Apollo Hospitals has signed an MoU of Rs 500 crore; Craft Smith India Rs 1,000 crore, Infinity Global Rs 4,000 crore and TPCI worth Rs 200 crore signed MoUs as well.

Along with Dhami, Minister of Tourism Satpal Maharaj and Minister of Skill Development and Employment Saurabh Bahuguna also participated in the Chennai Road Show.
